Team AMSOIL Continues Success at Milwaukee Mile

The second round of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series took place on the weekend of December 18-19 at the Milwaukee Mile in Milwaukee, Wis., where Team AMSOIL racers were looking to collect a few more podium finishes.

Although Tucker Hibbert grabbed the holeshot in the Caterpillar Pro Super Stock final, AMSOIL/Judnick Motorsports rider Ross Martin soon emerged in first place, with Hibbert and Levi LaVallee close behind.  Giving Martin a little shove in the corner and sneaking underneath, Hibbert re-gained control of the lead on the fifth lap, and both riders began pulling away from the pack, with Hibbert taking the win, Martin earning the second place podium, Garth Kaufman taking the third place podium and Team AMSOIL/Scheuring Speed Sports rider Robbie Malinoski battling from ninth to finish a strong fourth. In the AMSOIL Pro Open final, Brett Bender grabbed the holeshot, followed by Martin in second and Malinoski in third.  Maintaining their positions for a few laps, Hibbert began moving through the pack on the fourth lap, picking off competitors one by one before settling into the lead on the eighth lap and taking the win.  Bender finished second, Martin took third and Malinoski finished fourth. Team AMSOIL/Judnick Motorsports semi-pro rider Mike Bauer established an early lead in the Semi Pro Super Stock #1 final and took the win.  Kyle Pallin took second and Team AMSOIL/Scheuring Speed Sports rider Joe Fallen took the third place podium. The third round of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series takes place on the weekend of January 8-9 at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah.

TORC Series Adds Tucson Date to Schedule

Following the recent announcement that the 2009 Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL season will include a stop at the new Metrolina Speed and Sports Center in Charlotte, N.C. on the weekend of May 15-16, the Series continues to enhance its schedule.  The popular USA Raceway in Tucson, Ariz. will also host a weekend of exciting TORC Series racing on April 17-18.

"After taking into consideration feedback of sponsors, fans and drivers, we have decided to pursue viable new race venues, especially in the western states,” said TORC co-owner Mitch Covington.  “Arizona has a large amount of short course racing enthusiasts, making this an ideal location to further build the TORC fan base.  We at TORC have made a commitment to provide the highest level of closed-course off-road racing to continue to grow.  Tucson is the second largest city in Arizona; we are confident that this new location will help us achieve those goals.  We are currently negotiating with several tracks for a May date and we will post as soon as we have reached a definitive venue.  We appreciate everyone's support while we find the best possible tracks in new markets to show off our wonderful product."
