With the 17th Annual Crandon Cup race in the books, the track now turns its attention toward the biggest race of the year on Labor Day Weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Previously known as the BorgWarner Shootout Cup, the end-of-the-year, winner-takes-all race will now be known as the AMSOIL Cup. The format of the race will return to the Pro 4&#215;4 versus Pro 2wd shootout that has become popular with the more than 50,000 fans that pack the small town on the holiday weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAMSOIL loves the tradition that has evolved with this race,\u201d said AMSOIL Race Program Manager Jeremy Meyer. \u201cWe believe that ending the 2010 TORC season with the inaugural AMSOIL Cup race, and bringing back the two-class structure, will provide an exciting finish to an unbelievable year of racing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the AMSOIL Cup race will have his name engraved on the newly-designed AMSOIL Cup, which replaces the now retired BorgWarner Trophy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thursday, July 1, 2010 AMSOIL Agrees to Sponsor Cup Crandon is famous for its Cup races.
